Ascencia Malta participates in the Erasmus+ programme to advance its institutional development while contributing to the European Education Area. Beyond enhancing its
academic potential and position, the institution—as an engaged participant in higher education—pursues shared European goals, including the promotion of a rich European identity through education and culture, alongside support for sustainable economic growth, civilisational progress, and equitable benefit distribution.
Participation in the European Education Area, particularly through higher education institutions,centres on advancing education—including lifelong learning—and scientific research as foundations for sustainable economic, social, and civilisational advancement. Ascencia Malta actively supports collaborative educational formats, broadens access to mobility by addressing barriers through streamlined administration, flexible programme offerings, blended mobility options, improved credit recognition practices, enhanced foreign language competencies, and engagement in European university networks.

Ascencia Malta’s mission emphasises high-quality teaching responsive to societal needs,participation in global scholarship, and fostering equitable academic exchanges. Ascencia Malta seeks robust involvement across Erasmus+ mobility for students and staff, alongside cooperation partnerships for excellence, innovation, and good practice exchange.Educational exchange remains pivotal: the institution targets full utilisation of available mobility slots, leveraging additional resources where feasible to maximise high-quality opportunities meeting formal and qualitative standards.
Dedicated coordination ensures effective implementation: faculty-level contacts manage agreements, participant recruitment, programme integration, recognition, and support; centrally, student services oversee planning, promotion, reporting, and compliance. Uniform institutional procedures—approved by leadership—govern recruitment and mobility execution,upholding non-discrimination, transparency, and full academic recognition.
Support encompasses language aid, housing assistance, visa guidance, insurance, and integration activities, bolstered by student networks. Operations adhere strictly to Erasmus+ rules, including programme alignment, tuition-free access for incoming participants, grade conversion, and anti-discrimination measures.
